Warnings

The path is not accessible to the Passo resort for the presence of some very aggressive Maremman dogs.

In addition, the path was crossed by fires in August 2017, which made it difficult to access due to the presence of trunks and the disappearance of CAI signage.

The trail starts from the place named "Mandrino", reaching walking along the path 315a coming from Minori or the path 315e coming from Tramonti.

Description

From the place named “Mandrino” (m 442) proceed north. You will meet in sequence “Colle Punta Mele”, “Colle Lucina”, “Colle Acqua Salice” and “Montalto”, where an Amalfitan old castle was located, and “Colle della Foresta”, until to reach “Passo” (m 695), where the Chiunzi-Ravello road pass. Crossed this road, continue along the chain of “Colle San Pietro” (m 911) and “Vena Secata” (m 1135) until you reach the Upper Trail of Chain of Monti Lattari (m 1108), where the route ends, near the peack of “Monte Cerreto”, reaching following the 300CAI.

  1. We walked this trail from il Passo south to Mandrino. At il Passo there is an Ovile with sheep and goats and some quite intimidating maremmani dogs. They barked a lot but we went past and left the sheep in peace; the dogs did not approach us. Immediately after il Passo, the path is extremely overgrown. It is a demanding path anyway, so this made it extra hard. GPS navigation was very helpful at times. A very beautiful path with more goats along the way.
