How to get there

The trail begins from the hamlet "Pastena" of Amalfi hamlet, where you can get by car or SITA bus lines Salerno-Sorrento. Better is to reach it walking from the city center along the 361.

Description

This trail connects Amalfi to the upper part of the trail of the “Valle delle Ferriere” moving through the village of Pogerola and the church of the “Madonna dei Fuondi”. It begins in Pastena (Via Maestra dei Villaggi) close to the church of “Santa Maria del Pino” (96 mt), starting point of the steps that lead to Pogerola (318 mt). From the main square of the village (Piazza Amodio), follow the road on the left of the square and then along the steps starting on the left of the road. These steps lead to the upper part of the village and, on the right, to the steps that lead to the 18th century church of the “Madonna dei Fuondi” (522 mt). Just after the church one can find the starting point of a very demanding trail that leads to “Railo” (737 mt) and ends at the intersection with the upper trail of the “Valle delle Ferriere”
